Who Has Bryce Harper’s Game 5 8th Inning Winning Homer?
Who has Bryce Harper’s game 5 8th inning winning homer in NLCS game 5 Sunday afternoon?
We know!
WJBR congratulates Tracy Oldziejewski of Port Richmond, one of Philadelphia’s great neighborhoods!
This story reminds me a bit of the story I wrote a few months ago when a man dining with his family in Rehoboth Beach this past summer found a pearl in his clam! What is the word? Oh yeah…
ser·en·dip·i·ty
/ˌserənˈdipədē/
the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.“a fortunate stroke of serendipity”
If you find good things without looking for them-it’s serendipity – unexpected good luck – brought them to you!
The man who found the pearl, Tracy who has the home run ball, and the Phillies going to the World Series…that’s serendipity!
Tracy told WPVI TV that when Bryce hit the magical homer, she and everyone were cheering and jumping up and down! And all of a sudden the rocketing ball was coming right toward her. The ball then hit the stadium floor, bounced and everyone was scrambling for it!
Now we know who has Bryce Harper’s game 5 8th inning winning homer!
Tracy saw it and picked it up!
“Yeah I have it!”
What an amazing moment in Philadelphia sports history! If you watch this closely, perhaps you’ll see Tracy’s serendipitous moment!

Tracy said fellow fans celebrated with her, picking her up in the air. She was so totally in the moment that she even forgot what the score was!
“I knew that we at least tied it, I didn’t know we were ahead.”
Back to “serendipity”.
The man who had the pearl learned it’s worth over $4,000!
I have a feeling this ball will be worth more than that! Priceless!
