Delaware Is A Top 20 Happiest State
Happy?! Delaware is a top 20 happiest state according to a new study, ranked right in the middle.
WalletHub released their annual “Happiest States in America” list and Delaware fell into the list at #17.
In order to develop these rankings WalletHub “drew upon the findings of “happiness” research to determine which environmental factors are linked to a person’s overall well-being and satisfaction with life. Previous studies have found that good economic, emotional, physical and social health are all key to a well-balanced and fulfilled life.”
New Jersey came in at #5, Pennsylvania at #27, and Maryland came in at #2!
The happiest state was Hawaii and least happiest was West Virginia.
The Top 10 Happiest States in America were:
- Hawaii
- Maryland
- Minnesota
- Utah
- New Jersey
- Idaho
- Clalifornia
- Illinois
- Nebraska
- Connecticut
WalletHub also said “The COVID-19 pandemic was one of the biggest stressors during the past two years, but now rampant inflation is more of a threat to Americans’ mental health. In fact, 87% of Americans are “anxious” or “very anxious” about inflation, according to a recent American Psychiatric Association poll.”
Delaware ranked at #11 for Emotional and Physical Well-Being, at #41 for Work Environment, and #18 for Community and Environment.
They also “examined the 50 states across 30 key metrics, ranging from the depression rate and the share of adults feeling productive to income growth and the unemployment rate.”
