Delaware football faithful can officially mark their calendars for the upcoming 2021 fall season after Delaware and the rest of the Colonial Athletic Association teams announced times for their games this upcoming fall.
The announcement finalizes a 2021 schedule that initially dropped in February. Delaware is set to face a total of 12 teams this upcoming season with notable matchups including a visit to the Big Ten’s Rutgers on Sept. 18 at 3:30 p.m., a Delaware homecoming game against James Madison on Oct. 23 at 3 p.m. and a home game with Villanova to finish off the regular season on Nov. 20 at 1 p.m. in Newark.

Season tickets for the upcoming fall are officially on sale, according to a release put out by Delaware’s athletic department. Those who purchase season tickets receive a number of incentives including lower ticket prices, special parking, early access to future tickets and invitations to exclusive events.
Single game tickets are set to go on-sale starting July 1.
The university has yet to make an official announcement in regard to the number of spectators allowed into the stadium for the fall. Delaware football’s ticket website does however state its hope for fall football as of this story’s publication.
“The Blue Hens are excited to welcome fans back to Delaware Stadium this fall,” the website states. “With updated State and University guidelines, Delaware Athletics will welcome back fans at 100% capacity, along with traditional tailgating and other pregame festivities.”
Last year’s spring season saw an increase of fans at Delaware’s three home games as the shortened season progressed and university guidelines regarding fan attendance changed.
Delaware will start its season on Sept. 2 against Maine with kick-off set for 7 p.m.
