Lady Gaga’s Alleged Dognappers Arrested For Attempted Murder And Robbery
Multiple people who allegedly dognapped two of Lady Gaga’s three French Bulldogs and shot her dog walker have been arrested today, gossip web site TMZ reports.
Multiple law enforcement sources say the alleged culprits were arrested on a variety of charges, including attempted murder and robbery. Cops received video of the dogs being dropped off in an alley days after the February 24 dognapping; that footage was key evidence in tracking down the alleged criminals.
The woman who “found” the dogs was also arrested, according to law enforcement sources. The gossip site reported that cops were suspicious of her from the beginning, and they advised Gaga not to pay the $500,000 reward.
Apparently, law enforcement initially believed this was some kind of gang initiation, but later changed their theory. They now believe that this was part of a dog-stealing ring, as French Bulldogs can be resold for a lot of money.
Police believe the dognappers got nervous with all the publicity surrounding the incident and decided to ditch the dogs and try to cash in on the reward.
As we earlier reported, Gaga got her dogs back unharmed.
Ryan Fischer, who was walking Gaga’s beloved dogs Koji, Miss Asia and Gustavo, in West Hollywood when he was shot, was in the hospital for several weeks but has told the gossip site that he’s OK.
