A man smokes marijuana as people line up to receive a free marijuana cigarette after showing proof of a Covid-19 vaccination at Union Square on April 20, 2021 in New York City. The event, which attracted hundreds, was held in honor of “4/20” and the efforts to get more New Yorkers vaccinated. Called “Joints For Jabs," the afternoon event was organized by marijuana advocates and longtime AIDS activist group ACT UP NY. New York City has recently made the smoking of marijuana legal.

Haven’t had enough of 4/20 festivities? Well, this job opportunity might be right up your alley. As the marijuana industry expands and legalization spreads to more states nationally, jobs in the industry are likely to become more plentiful.

That includes jobs like this one from Vaped.com. Per Thrillist, the company is looking to hire a full-time remote vaporizer tester, offering $42,000 a year and three weeks of vacation. If that hasn’t sold you on the idea, there’s also a $250 a month expense account to procure products to put in the vaporizers that you’ll be reviewing. You’ll also be getting a lot of vaporizers.

Founder of Vaped Christian Sculthorp said, “I need someone who is confident to take over reviews, someone who knows the difference between a Volcano and an Xmax Starry. Who understands what each customer is looking for. So if you are someone who is passionate about vaporizers and has the ability to create well-produced, helpful videos and write-ups on the vaporizers. I want to hear from you. I think it’s an amazing opportunity for somebody, and I look forward to us working together.”

According to Vaped’s website, Schulthorp was the one reviewing their products: “The founder no longer has time to do full reviews of every product. We need some help!”

The company says the expense account can be used on cannabis, but if you don’t live in a state where it’s legal, you can still apply. You can use the expense account to get something else to put in the vaporizer. A representative told the media outlet that they’ll be taking applications through the end of April, which is this Friday.

Per the job description, the person hired for the role will receive their vaporizers completely free and will test their limits and provide input on the following:

Analysis on the functionality of the vaporizer (ex. size, vapor production, temperatures etc.)
Product testing (ex. how long does battery last)
Instructions of use
How to clean and maintain the vaporizer
Comparisons to other similar units
Your personal feelings about the vaporizer
A video, write up and photography of each vaporizer

You should hurry now and prepare your lungs if you think you’re up for the job! Apply here for the vaporizer tester position at Vaped.
