You’ve been counting down the days and it’s finally here. Some of the local ski resorts are tentatively opening their trails this weekend, starting Friday, December 11.

Blue Mountain Ski Resort has a tentative opening date of Friday, December 11. Blue Mountain is located in Palmerton, Pennsylvania. The available trails have not been disclosed as of right now. There is also no suspicion of closed trails. Blue Mountain has been producing snow all week leading up to this date. Jack Frost/Big Boulder Ski Resort will also open the skiing and snowboarding festivities on a tentative date of Friday, December 11. Jack Frost/Big Boulder is located in White Haven, Pennsylvania. Jack Frost has 20 different trails, while Big Boulder has 15 trails. The trails available to the public have not been disclosed as of right now. Shawnee Mountain is currently making snow and looking at a tentative opening date of Friday, December 18. Shawnee is located in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania and offers 23 different trails to the public. The available trails have not been disclosed as of right now.
