New Jersey School District Won’t Take This Tradition From Students
Last school year students missed out on proms, sports, and even their graduations. As we make our way towards winter, snow days are one more school norm that can simply be removed because of online classes.
However one school district in New Jersey has taken a pro-snow day stance this school year. According to the Washingtonpost.com, the Mahwah Township Public School District believes a snow is an opportunity for students in-person or virtually learning to enjoy their day. It is a time to bake cookies, play in the snow, and even watch a movie by the fire.
Other states including New York have already stated that snow days will be cancelled this school year, while districts in Maryland have called snow days very unlikely going forward.
