Bob Dylan surprised fans with the release of "Murder Most Foul," a previously unreleased 17-minute track which marks the first piece of new music from the iconic singer-songwriter since his 2012 album Tempest.

Dylan announced the track in a brief statement that reads, "Greetings to my fans and followers with gratitude for all your support and loyalty across the years. This is an unreleased song we recorded a while back that you might find interesting. Stay safe, stay observant and may God be with you."

The track, itself, centers around the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, but it references countless musicians and pop culture references, from Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks to Gone With The Wind.

"Murder Most Foul" can be heard below and is available for streaming/download here.
