Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams paid for 500 mammograms.

He first began sponsoring the screenings in 2015 after his late mother lost her 10 year battle with breast cancer.  He also lost four of his aunts to the terrible disease.

Deangelo said “to be able to help all these women is amazing. This can be life-changing for these women. My foundation is enabling them to get this care that no one should ever be denied or not have access to. ”

Back when Williams played in the NFL he was largely behind the bid to allow the players to wear pink cleats in October to show support for breast cancer awareness month. Deangelo wants to make sure that no man or woman fights breast cancer alone.
