‘Rocketman’: New Video Shows Taron Egerton Singing Elton John Classic

Rocketman will feature actor Taron Egerton portraying Elton John and singing the artist's iconic hits. For anyone unsure about that task, the newly released video of Egerton's version of "Rocketman" will more than put them at ease.

The video below is made up of footage from the highly anticipated movie and gives fans a new look at the grandeur that can be expected when the movie hits theaters in the U.S. on May 31. Rocketman also stars Jamie Bell as songwriting partner Bernie Taupin, Richard Madden as former manager/boyfriend John Reid and Bryce Dallas Howard and John’s mother, Sheila.

In a previously released clip, producer Giles Martin noted about Egerton singing John’s music in Rocketman, “Elton said, ‘I don’t think I’ve heard anyone sing my songs better than Taron, and the great thing about Elton is that he wants Taron’s interpretations of his songs.”
