Notice the construction going on near AstraZeneca and the commercial spaces on Route 202 Concord Pike in Wilmington across from Panera Bread and Five Guys? It’s a development project called Avenue North. I’m sure you’ve seen the signs. The first phase of retail stores have been built and can be seen from the major highway. A Brew HaHa! is also located within the Avenue North “soon to be” community.
Avenue North is an 80 acre campus in Northern Delaware, dedicated to homelife, worklife, and playtime all in one community. It will be a walkable, mixed use redevelopment, bringing commercial and residential amenities to the suburban communities of Wilmington, as described on Avenue North’s website.
Everyone who lives in this community will be within walking distance to restaurants and retailers, recreational space, bike paths and walkways, and also, potentially work. Avenue North is located just north of the city of Wilmington and five minutes from I-95.
In June 2017, Delle Donne & Associates acquired the complex where AstraZeneca is located. They then renamed it Avenue North.
