This Is The Ugliest City In Delaware. Are you surprised?
I wonder if this was hard to decide. There are so many beautiful places here in Delaware. I instantly think of Lewes, the charming little beach town. When I saw ugliest, I thought maybe Wilmington. We get such a bad wrap here, I didn’t think we could catch a break. But, much to my surprise another town here in Delaware has taken the title as “Ugliest.”
The folks over at Alot.com have come up with their list of the ugliest cities in each state. According to their website, they made their choices based on lack of maintenance or just poor design choices. They went on to say that these cities may be great places to look at but they won’t be winning any beauty contests soon. Haha! That’s kind of harsh.
For those of you who live in this area, don’t kill the messenger. We love ALL of Delaware here!
So, what was their choice for ugliest city in Delaware? Harrington took this one.
Here’s a little taste of what alot.com had to say about Harrington as their choice for ugliest city in Delaware:
Harrington has a few interesting tidbits that separate itself from other small towns, so it’s a shame it’s so ugly. Sure, it hosts the Delaware State Fair every year, which draws in people all over the state, but they leave the fairgrounds once the party’s over and you’re left with a lonely 3,500-person town.
I think they should get bonus points for hosting the state fair.
If you’re not in Delaware, but close by in New Jersey, Maryland or Pennsylvania, we didn’t leave you out. We’ve listed the ugliest cities in each of your states too!
