We asked you and you told us that these are the best places near Wilmington for pretzels.  Why did we ask?  Well, today (April 26th) is National Pretzel Day.  And according to NationalDayCalendar.com, they didn't originate too far from Delaware.

The Pennsylvania Dutch immigrants introduced pretzels to North America in the 19th century.  At this time, many handmade pretzel bakeries populated central Pennsylvania, and their popularity quickly spread. In the 20th century, soft pretzels became very popular in areas such as Philadelphia, Chicago, and New York.

It's no secret our friends in Philadelphia are well known for their pretzels.  In fact, Philly is home to a Pretzel Museum and the average Philadelphian consumes twelve times more pretzels than an average American consumer.  That's a lot!
