The last couple of years have been rough, to say the least.  But, according to the Top Ten Most Used Emoji’s in 2021, we seem to be handling things ok.

According to the Unicode Consortium, the not-for-profit organization responsible for digitizing the world’s languages, 92% of the world’s online population use emoji. And they’ve collected the data on just which emoji we’re using the most.  The tears of joy emoji accounts for almost 5% of all emoji use. 😂

The Top Ten Most Used Emoji’s of 2021 are:

• 10. 😊 – Smiling Face with Smiling Eyes

• 9. 😍 – Smiling Face with Heart-Shaped Eyes

• 8. 🥰 – Smiling Face With Three Hearts

• 7. 😘 – Face Blowing a Kiss

• 6. 🙏 – Folded Hands (aka the prayer emoji)

• 5. 😭 – Loudly Crying Face

• 4. 👍 – Thumbs Up Sign

• 3. 🤣 – Rolling on the Floor Laughing

• 2. ❤️ – Red Heart

• 1. 😂 – Tears of Joy
