What better time to rank the best Chinese restaurants in Wilmington than on National Fortune Cookie Day?

Yep, there’s a day for that.  National Fortune Cookie Day falls on Thursday, July 20th, according to National Today.  The fortune cookie is synonymous with Chinese take out in the United States and an all around delicious treat if you ask me.

The most obvious way to celebrate National Fortune Cookie Day is with a Chinese meal, of course.  So where can you grab lunch or take out and get the best Chinese food in Wilmington?

With the help of the crew over at Yelp, I put together a list of the 10 best spots in Wilmington.  The rankings are based on reviews and ratings from those who have dined at these locations.  I went ahead and included some real life reviews, so you can see what others have to say before making your choice on which place to try.

These are real deal Chinese restaurants, so don’t get upset when you don’t see PF Chang’s on the list.  I am in no way knocking PF Chang’s.  I am a huge PF Chang’s fan.  They have delicious food and exceptional fortune cookies.

• 10. Hachi Asian Fusion

  The rolls are nicely crafted and so delicious! They’re all so fresh! I got a side salad which was only $3 and the dressing that came with it was so good!

  Honestly this is the best Chinese food I have had in Delaware. Pretty much a hole in the wall…. but impressed with their fried rice, lo mien and general Tao chicken

  Phenomenal Chinese food restaurant in the city! Prices are in excellent budget range and portions are plentiful compared to other Chinese restaurants in the suburbs.

  My favorite lunch here is the general Tso with wonton/egg drop soup. Super affordable, delicious, and doesn’t give the greasy feeling

  I’m not going to lie. Bally’s really hitting for something! They have that authentic Chinese food/look/feel . Compared to the other Chinese stores I tried in Wilmington this one is the one.

  We have never been disappointed here when we have a hankering for American Chinese food. Their Singapore noodles (Chow Mi Fun) are amazing and my favourite thing on the menu.

   

• 4. Hunan Asian Cuisine

  This is one of my go to places. The roti and curry sauce are a particular favorite, but I haven’t found anything I don’t like. Dine in is comfortable and service is pleasant and not rushed. Take out is quick.

  Great place! The food is delicious, especially the sushi! The ambience is wonderful. We enjoyed the customer service. The menu has enough choices for anyone. It is well worth checking out.

  I’ve had this place twice, and it is now my go to Chinese place. They are speedy, clean, friendly and not to mention their food is the absolute best Chinese food I’ve tasted in a VERY long time.

  Love their chicken and broccoli !! The sauce is really good.. and the egg rolls are really full and fresh and delicious.
