Ageless Love: a locally produced film
Ageless Love is a story about a Jewish couple living in Philadelphia in the 1960s. The premise is based on a true story of how their relationship survived adversities. It tells the tale of Yale Schwartz who lost his wife and how he never quite got over it.
Local shoot, Local talent
The film was shot in Swarthmore, Media, Bryn Mawr and Atlantic City. Schwartz presented his story to co-writer, director, producer and filmmaker Joshua Coates who hails from Upper Darby. Delaware native and actress Aubrey Plaza attended the film’s premier in Beverly Hills October 2021.
The Director
In a write-up by Peg Degrassa in with the Daily Times, Coates explains that he fast tracked the project to fulfill Schwartz’s dying wish. The filming lasted less than two weeks and was rushed to the screening process. Schwartz did pass away soon after, but now the film is gaining global recognition and we imagine he’s smiling from above.
