Delaware’s Most Popular Boy Names For Newborns

The work that goes into naming a baby is tough!

We can’t name our baby this because we have a distant cousin named that.

We can’t name our baby this because I knew someone named that and they were mean.

We can’t name our baby that because we hate the nickname associated with it!

The pressure to pick the right name amongst new parents is crazy!

Some people go with family names, some with favorite TV show character names, some with names from their favorite book. No matter what the name…tons of thought goes into it!

Popular website The Tot has tons of suggestions on how to choose a name for your future bundle of joy.

“Avoid passing trends, Remember that classic names don’t have to be boring, Take a look at your family tree, Honor your culture, Look up meanings, Contemplate all possible nicknames, Consider the importance of the middle name, Don’t forget about the initials, Say it out loud, Don’t stress too much” are all suggestions from the wesbite.

A good friend of mine suggested going to the playground and YELLING the names you like. Its a crazy suggestion but seems to work.

One of my best friend’s suggested trying out a few names in casual conversations with friends and family or just amongst yourself and your partner.

If I was testing out names… I think I would see how the name sounds being announced as a world champion in a sport or how it sounds being called out at a coffee shop. Just to be a little different.

…I also would see how the name looked on a jersey of my favorite team.

Stacker compiled a list of the most used baby boy names in Delaware.
