Movie Baby Names

Here are 11 other movie characters to name your kids after besides Barbie. There have been so many other great movie releases this summer. Let’s take a look!

  • (Miles) Spider-Man: Across The Spiderverse

The film is a sequel to the hit Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and like its predecessor, will focus on Miles Morales.

Miles would make a great baby name across the board!

  • (Greta) Past Lives

Past Lives is a quiet, decades-spanning romance. Greta Lee (who you may recognize from Russian Doll or The Morning Show) is at the center of a love triangle between a childhood friend from Korea and a longterm partner in New York.

Greta is also made popular by the Barbie movie’s uber-successful director Greta Gerwig.

  • (Wes) Asteroid City

Asteroid City is another smash hit by Wes Anderson, who last directed The French Dispatch. This movie has a classic stacked cast full of stars that are inspiring in their own right, but we’re kind of liking the name Wes right about now.

  • (Harrison) or (Pheobe) Indiana Jones- Dial of Desitny

Harrison Ford teams up with Fleabag’s Pheobe Waller-Bridge on a mission that involves Nazis and the Cold war. Both of these names are solid choices!

  • (Hayley) Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1

Hayley Atwell joins the cast for the first time in this first part of a series-ending duology. Not only a pretty name but a unique twist on Hailey.

  • (Molly) or (Noah) Theater Camp

The movie was written/directed/produced by a combination of Molly Gordon, Ben Platt and Noah Galvin (who all also star), and features a slew of their young, talented friends including Jimmy Tatro, Ayo Edebiri and Patti Harrison.

So honestly, Molly and Noah aren’t the only standouts in this list.

  • Christopher Nolan (Oppenheimer)

Oppenheimer is Christopher Nolan’s biopic about J. Robert Oppenheimer, who created the atomic bomb. And now that we think of it, we’re kind of liking Nolan as much as Christopher …

  • (Winona) or (Rosario) The Haunted Mansion

This is the second Haunted Mansion movie in 20 years and is a welcome return.

Winona Ryder and Rosario Dawson are among  a great cast of characters but those are the two names we couldn’t leave off this list.
