Today, Friday, December 16th, is National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day!

Every third Friday of December people all over the nation trade their casual garments for something more festive for National Ugly Sweater Day. Whether you find a hidden gem to wear, or you make your own, one things for sure — this holiday will certainly have you laughing all day long!

These ugly sweaters haven’t always been a trend.  I remember the days of our teachers and grandmas wearing them, like for real, and getting some laughs.  Now they’re an iconic part of the holiday season and the theme for most holiday parties.

Who can forget the style of Clark Griswold.  I mean, let’s be honest, the man deserves a national holiday for himself.  He probably has one.  Doesn’t everything have it’s “own day” nowadays?

With so many brands jumping on board, and big box stores offering their own versions of ugly sweaters, they’re impossible to get away from.  I guess that’s why they’ve earned their own National Day.

And since we love all things Christmas at WJBR, Delaware’s Christmas Station,  we thought we would share some photos of our staff in their ugly Christmas sweaters!

Merry Christmas & Happy Ugly Sweater Day!
