The Brandywine Valley SPCA hosted their Mega Adopt Event last Saturday and Sunday, July 1st and 2nd in Oaks, PA at the convention center. Families from all over the area attended, resulting in over 1500 pets finding furever homes.
The BVSPCA posted a special thank you on social media to all the adopters who welcomed 1,469 new furry companions into their home.
Some very special furbabies finally found their furever homes, including some long-time residents.
Mega Adopt Event Success Story
One highlight of the weekend was getting Oakley adopted.
Oakley waited 242 days for his Mega Success to happen. One of the longest resident dogs from the BVSPCA Georgetown Campus, Oakley found his new family this past weekend. This wonderful couple shared photos from Oakley’s freedom ride, pool time and new shades they got for the sweet, one-eyed goofy boy.
Oakley’s story is just one of the almost 1500 successful adoptions from the Mega Adopt Event. Each and every number represents a deserving furry companion settling in to their new homes.
If you missed Mega, there’s still time to welcome a new pet into your home with Mega adoption pricing. The BVSPCA is extending the $35 adopt fees for cats of all ages and dogs 1 year old and up through Sunday July 9th at all locations thanks to Petco Love and BOBS from SKECHERS.
Until then, check out some of these happy smiles!
