Deanna and Justin In The Morning

Cheep Cheep is a Rhode Island Red.

Whether you’re a bookworm or not, the library hatched their newest family members! The Brandywine Hundred Library in Wilmington, Delaware hatched 8 baby chicks and they’re on display for anyone to come and look at them, until tomorrow, April 21st! The chicks have lived at the library for some time now (I just saw them personally for the first time the other day). Library goers were asked to vote on their names. Their names have been selected and there’s an obvious correlation to the new Super Mario movie.

This is the 5th year the Brandywine Hundred Library has had eggs hatched into chicks through the University of Delaware’s Cooperative Extension. The chicks will return to the University of Delaware sometime tomorrow, April 21st.

The Brandywine Hundred Library is located at 1300 Foulk Road in Wilmington, Delaware. The library has many other programs for children, teen, families, and senior citizens, available to the public for free. There is also a public park surrounding the property of the Brandywine Hundred Library, known as Talley Day Park.
