November is National Family Literacy Month! It is celebrated across the U.S. and focuses on special activities and events that showcase the importance of family literacy programs.
STELLAR Tutoring Center sponsors an annual WALK for Family Literacy starting from the Gazebo Park at DuPont Road & the Kirkwood Highway to our Elsmere Town Hall on Saturday November 4th.
The route will be about 1.5 miles long and will follow sidewalks to the Town Hall (about 30 minutes).
Each family participate receives a certificate of participation, a free book, pencils, and bookmarks to take home. Also, don’t miss the chance to meet two local authors, who will be reading from their own books!
Participants should get sponsors to donate to the WALK for Family Literacy by asking for a flat donation, $5.00 or $10.00. The proceeds are used by STELLAR Associates to help fulfill our mission by providing scholarship funds to help cover tutoring costs for people in our community.
