The Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre returns to the Delaware Shore for the 37th summer of sparkling family plays and outstanding camps for youth!

Three classic tales of fantasy and fun take the stage from June 27 to August 23. Children show their own theatre and filmmaking skills in week-long camps beginning July 9.

The RSCT professional company will perform three plays in rotation. Leading off is Cinderella, the well-loved story of royalty, romance and fabulous footwear. Opening night is Wednesday, June 27 with a 7:00 PM curtain. The next week genies, sorcerers and sultans appear in a spirited production of Aladdin. Later in July, audiences will travel back in time to the Greece of storyteller Aesop with Androcles and the Lion, the fable of a brave lad who pulls a thorn from the paw of a fierce lion.

Each show is performed by two actors bringing all the characters to life in the unique format that has thrilled audiences since 1982.

RSCT also offers week-long camps for children, ages 5-14. Film & TV Camps are conducted July 9-13 and July 30-August 3. Participants, ages 8-14, write, direct and act in original films. There are four weeks of Theatre Camp: July 16-20, July 23-27, August 13-17 and August 20-24. Ages 5 & 6 meet from 9 AM to noon. Ages 7-12 meet from 9 AM to 3 PM. Campers join in stage games and rehearse a play for a performance at the end of each week.

The performance and camp schedules as well as show tickets are available online at www.rehobothchildrenstheatre.org. Information is also available by contacting the RSCT office at 302-227-6766 or emailing rehobothchildrenstheatre@gmail.com.
