The Arc of Delaware will host its 25th Annual Golf Tournament and Silent Auction on Monday, August 7, at Deerfield Golf Club in Newark, DE. The tournament is The Arc’s signature fundraising event.
Proceeds from the event will benefit people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through programs available at The Arc of Delaware, including advocacy, employment, housing, outreach and social and recreational.
Brad Hennefer returns as our featured guest and speaker. Brad is a self-advocate and accomplished athlete who was born with Down syndrome. He played varsity basketball and golf in high school and has won several gold and silver medals in Special Olympics. He is the inspiration behind the Brad Hennefer Golf for Life Foundation.
Over 100 golfers are expected to participate. The event begins with a shotgun start at 11:00 a.m. on the 18 hole course and includes putting competitions and a hole-in-one contest. The day culminates with a silent and live auction, buffet dinner and awards ceremony. Participants are welcome for the dinner and auction only.
There will also be a Live Helicopter Ball Drop. Buy a numbered chance for $20 each or 3 chances for $50. Corresponding numbered golf balls will be dropped from a helicopter before dinner. Closest to the pin wins 50/50!
