A Call to Arms, Molly: Ready, Set, Shoot!

August 920175:00 pm
Fort Mifflin, 82 Fort Mifflin Rd., Philadelphia, PA, 19153 + Google Map

Former Pa. Gov. Ed Rendell will lead the charge on Aug. 9, 2017, by firing the cannon at Fort Mifflin in Philadelphia as GVHS singer Meghan Arters sings the National Anthem. After that, the live music and fun begins. Guests will even get the chance to fire-off a shot from the Revolutionary War cannon!

In addition to the live band, a beer garden, cigar and whiskey bar and great food available, there will be a silent auction, photo station, ghost tours, tarot card readings, caricatures, face painting and the chance to explore the historic fort, where spirits still roam. A dedicated room at the Fort will feature Molly teasers and visuals.

Proceeds from the event will go towards the production of Molly, a feature film about the legendary Molly Pitcher, which will be filmed in the historic Brandywine area using many local actors and reenactors. The production team will be on hand to talk about the upcoming film, which highlights a woman’s patriotic rebellion during the nation’s fight for independence. They are writer and producer Brigette ReDavid, Director Jon Barden, Director of Photography Myron Parran, Line Producer Brian David Cange and Associate Producer Karin Knebl. The event is under the fiscal sponsorship of New York Women in Film and Television, a non-profit.

Tickets are $25 until Aug. 8 and $30 at the door, and includes hors d’oeuvres, music, and a cocktail; $125 for VIP guests and includes dinner, drinks, a gift, and a family membership for a year to Fort Mifflin. For tickets, visit TheMollyFilm.com or molly-productions.ticketleap.com. For information on historic Fort Mifflin, visit Fort Mifflin.us.
