This 5K benefits Ulster Project Delaware!
Each year, UPD brings teenagers from Northern Ireland to a strife-free environment in the Wilmington area to promote long-time peace between Catholics and Protestants. During the month-long project each July, the teens and adult leaders live with host families with teens of a similar age. Tolerance and understanding are fostered, stereotypes are dissolved, and lifetime friendships are formed.
Amenities include shirts for the first 200 registrants and a post-race party at Catherine Rooney’s.
The 5K will take place in Conaty Park, behind Trolley Square Shopping Center.
