Tamera Fair, Esq. Executive Director of Wilmington Hope Commission, discussed Wilmington HOPE Commission, a project working towards successful returns to the community by the recently incarcerated. Offering an evidenced based curriculum, their wrap-around services address behavioral and mental health, job preparedness and family counseling to prevent recidivism. They begin their work before release, inmates referred to the program meet with former prisoner mentors to prepare mentally for what is to come, after release, other mentors help with their transition.
