Lynne Robinson, Executive Director and Founder of PAWS for People discussed the group that provides therapeutic visits for people with gentle dogs, cats or bunnies. The elderly, children and adults with learning or intellectual disabilities, people with chronic illness or even the lonely, can request a visit. Volunteers with gentle, people-friendly pets reciving training in introducing the pets in a natural, non-threatening way, and then backoing off to allow the pet to do the magic. The voounteers visit homes, schools, nursing homes or clinic settings for the one-on-one visits. She also dsicussed their upcoming fundraiser, Art from the Heart, with donated works to be auctioned.
