Jon Buzby, Director of Unified Champion Schools, returned to talk about Special Olympics Delaware, providing FREE year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for more than 4,200 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in Delaware, giving them opportunities to develop physical fitness and social skills. He discussed the unified teams, matching non-disabled athletes with SO participants for real inclusion and education. SO offers participants independence and social interaction in a competitive arena, sports are played to regulation with few adaptations or accommodations.
