OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

These rules apply to the Beaches Resorts Giveaway Contest (“Contest”) conducted by Beasley Media Group, LLC d/b/a WJBR (“Station”). In addition, the General Contest Rules posted at www.wjbr.com apply to this Contest. If there is a conflict between the General Contest Rules and the Rules for this Contest, the Rules for this Contest shall control.

HOW TO ENTER

The Contest will begin on September 12, 2023 and end on October 6, 2023.

To enter, listen to the Station each weekday beginning on September 12, 2023 and ending on October 6, 2023 between the approximate hours of (i) 8:00 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”); (ii) 10:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. ET; (iii) 12:00 p.m. and 12:15 p.m. ET; (iv) 2:00 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.; and (v) 4:00 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. ET for the announcement of that hour’s letter. Each hour will have a letter that when combined and unscrambled with the other letters announced that same weekday will create the winning word of the day (“Word”). Once all letters have been announced, entrant may enter each weekday via the following method:

Visit www.wjbr.com and follow the links and instructions to enter the Contest and complete and submit the online entry form each weekday beginning at 4:15pm ET and ending at 5:00pm ET (each an “Online Entry Period”). Online entrants are subject to all notices posted online including but not limited to the Station's Privacy Policy. Limit one (1) entry per eligible person during each weekday’s Online Entry Period regardless if entrant has more than one email address. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Entries submitted may not be acknowledged or returned. Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by the Contest administrator.

Up to one (1) Qualifier will be selected each weekday beginning on September 12, 2023 and ending on October 6, 2023 at approximately 5:15pm ET in a Station-conducted random drawing from all eligible online entries received during that weekday’s Online Entry Period with the correct Word. Any entries with the incorrect Word will be disqualified. Potential Qualifier will be notified by phone and/or email promptly following the random drawing.

Non-selected entries will not automatically rollover into subsequent random drawings, if any. Up to nineteen (19) Qualifiers will be selected. There is no prize associated with being deemed a Qualifier.

There will be up to a total of two (2) Grand Prize winners selected in the Contest. An entrant may only be a Qualifier once and may only win a Grand Prize once.

ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

This Contest is open to all Station listeners who are 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry into the Contest, who are legal US residents and reside in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Maryland, except where prohibited by law. Winners must possess a valid, government-issued ID and show proof of residency to verify eligibility.

PRIZES

Up to two (2) Grand Prizes will be awarded. Each Grand Prize consists of a four-day/three-night All-Inclusive Vacation for two (2) adults (the prize winner + an adult guest) or (the prize winner and a minor guest (age 15 or younger) to any one of the three (3) Beaches Resorts listed below, with locations in Jamaica and Turks and Caicos and round-trip coach airfare for two (2) (prize winner + one (1) travel companion as indicated through American Airlines to the destination (the “Beaches Resorts Prize Package”).

Approximate Retail Value of each Grand Prize is $5,138. Beaches Resorts is a Luxury Included® resort destination. Therefore the provided prizes will each include luxurious accommodations (one (1) room, double occupancy, king-sized bed), all meals, unlimited premium brand beverages, daily & nightly entertainment, all land and water sports, including daily SCUBA diving (for certified divers), snorkeling, Wi-Fi in all rooms and public areas, gratuities, resort taxes and Beaches transfers to and from the resort designated airport.

Telephone calls, Premium Wi-Fi, Red Lane® Spa treatments and services, specialty dining, tours & excursions, inter-island transportation, SCUBA certification courses, island departure taxes and purchases made at the Beaches Specialty Shops are not included.

Round-trip coach airfare for two (2) provided by Unique Travel, Corp. is valid to/from the nearest major U.S. gateway to resort designated airport. The tickets are valid until October 2024 and are subject to availability and black-out periods (black-out dates to be determined). Flights will be on mutually approved dates. Winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary, originating from the same airport. Flights and airlines are subject to change and availability. Restrictions and blackout dates may apply.

Please note: It is the responsibility of WJBR to inform the prizewinner(s) that airfare reservations will not be confirmed until 90 days prior to the selected travel date.

Prize(s) must be redeemed for travel within one year from date of winning and is not transferable or redeemable for cash.  No extension will be given after the prize has expired. If the prize is not redeemed, the prize is void.

Please note: This prize(s) is subject to space availability and selected blackout dates.  Reservations will not be confirmed until 90 days prior to the selected travel date.

Prizewinner must be at least 18 years of age. Beaches Resort is an adult-only, couples only, romantic destination.

Actual value may vary and any difference between stated value and actual value will not be awarded.  Certain travel restrictions may apply.  All other costs not specifically stated herein, including but not limited to those of, taxes, meals, tips and additional ground transportation, baggage fees, hotel room service, laundry service, alcoholic beverages, merchandise, souvenirs, and local and long-distance telephone calls are the responsibility of the winner.  Selection of airline, hotel, and airline seat location at sole discretion of Station and/or prize provider. Airline regulations apply. The winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary and are responsible for obtaining all required travel documents, including, without limitation, passports for international travel.  If applicable, the winner may be required to present a valid credit card upon hotel check in to cover any incidental expenses incurred during the winner’s stay.  Winner and guest must abide by all airline, hotel, and venue policies. The winner and guest must sign all required releases prior to booking of any travel.  If winner is unwilling or unable to travel on the dates specified, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to another winner at Station’s sole discretion. All travel is subject to availability and restrictions. If a prize-related event or travel is unable to take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, including for weather, or for any reason beyond the control of the Station and prize provider, their sole responsibility to the winner will be to award the remaining available elements of the prize(s) and no substitution or compensation will be provided for the unawarded elements of the prize(s).  No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight. If winner chooses to take the trip without a guest, s/he will be awarded the prize elements for one person only, and the remainder of the prize will be forfeited without compensation. Winner understands that there are inherent risks involved in travel and that these risks may be present before, during and after the trip. In addition, winner and guest(s) should be aware of and comply with government guidelines regarding travel restrictions and mandatory quarantines before, during and after the trip.  Winner will be issued a 1099 for 2023, regardless of when the winner redeemed the Grand Prize trip.

All prizes or prize certificates must be claimed at the office of the Station located at 812 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809 Monday-Friday, during regular business hours and excluding holidays. Prize or prize certificate must be claimed within thirty (30) days of winning. Failure to claim prize by the specified time will result in forfeiture of the prize. It is the winner’s sole responsibility to claim the Prize or prize certificate within the timeline provided in these Official Rules.

SELECTION OF WINNERS

Up to nineteen (19) Qualifiers will be selected as described in Section 1 of these Official Rules. There is no prize associated with being deemed a Qualifier.

On October 9, 2023 at approximately 9:00am ET, up to two (2) Grand Prize winner will be selected in a Station-conducted random drawing from all nineteen (19) total Qualifiers. The Grand Prize winner will be contacted via phone following the drawing.

Odds of being deemed a Qualifier depend on the number of eligible online entries received for each random drawing. Odds of a Qualifier winning the Grand Prize are up to 2 in 19.

Entrants must listen to the Station to hear the Word’s letters to be deemed a Qualifier but do not need to be present. Qualifiers do not need to listen to the Station or be present to win a Grand Prize.

Grand Prize winner must confirm acceptance of prize within fifteen (15) days of winning, or risk disqualification and selection of an alternate Grand Prize winner (time permitting) in a random drawing of all remaining Qualifiers.

Decisions of Station management with respect to the Contest are final.

CONDITIONS

The Station reserves the right to end any contest or amend these rules upon announcement on air and by publication at www. wjbr.com.

For website contests: By use of the Station’s website and by entering this Contest, entrants agree to the Station’s Terms of Service Agreement and to the use of Personal Information as stated in the Privacy Policy located at www. wjbr.com.

Copies of the written Contest rules and a list of all winners are available during regular business hours at the main studio of the Station, 812 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809 or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Station.
