WJBR Beach Tag You’re It

OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

 

These rules apply to the WJBR Beach Tag You’re It Contest (“Contest”) conducted by Beasley Media Group, LLC d/b/a WJBR-FM (“Station”). In addition, the General Contest Rules posted at www.wjbr.com apply to this Contest. If there is a conflict between the General Contest Rules and the Rules for this Contest, the Rules for this Contest shall control.

 

HOW TO ENTER

 

The Contest will begin on Friday, May 26, 2023 and end on Sunday, June 18, 2023.

 

To enter the Contest, entrant may enter on-air, online, or on-site as follows:

 

To enter on-air, listen to the Station each weekday beginning on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 and ending on Friday, June 16, 2023 (note: no on-air portion of the Contest will take place on May 29, 2023) at approximately 8:00am Eastern Time (“ET”), approximately 10:00am ET, approximately 3:00pm ET, and approximately 5:00pm ET for the announcement of the cue to call. Upon hearing the cue to call, the first (1st) caller (as announced on-air at the time of the cue to call) to the Station contest line at 302-764-9527 will have the opportunity to win an On-Air Bonus Prize and be qualified for the chance to win the Grand Prize (“Qualifier”) by correctly guessing the exact first name of the previous Beach Tag! You’re It! qualifier selected in the previous time that day, upon confirmation of eligibility. The designated caller will have one (1) chance of no longer than ten (10) seconds to guess the exact first name of the previous Qualifier. If the designated caller correctly guesses the exact first name of the previous Qualifier, the designated caller will win an On-Air Bonus Prize and be qualified for the chance to win the Grand Prize. If the designated caller’s guess is incorrect, the on-air personality will move on to the next caller. The on-air personality will continue to the next caller until a caller correctly guesses the exact first name of the previous Qualifier. The caller for the 8:00am ET cue to call on May 30, 2023 will not have to guess the exact first name of any previous Qualifier and will automatically be awarded an On-Air Bonus Prize and be qualified for the chance to win the Grand Prize, upon confirmation of eligibility. Station is not responsible for any failure of a caller to reach the Station contest line including but not limited to busy phone lines, misdirected calls, equipment breakdowns, or disconnections. Calls will only be accepted at the designated phone number. At the time of entrant’s call, entrant will be required to provide all information requested including entrant’s full name, complete address (including zip code), day and evening phone numbers and date of birth in order to be eligible to win. P.O. Boxes are not permitted. In the event that the selected caller is disconnected, incorrectly guesses the exact first name of the previous Qualifier, or is found to be ineligible, the next eligible caller who successfully makes it through on the call-in line, correctly guess the exact first name of the previous Qualifier, and completes the call will be a Qualifier. There is no limit to the number of times a listener may attempt to call in to win, but a listener may be a Qualifier only once.

 

To enter online, visit www.wjbr.com and follow the links and instructions to enter the Contest and complete and submit the online entry form beginning on May 26, 2023 at 12:00am ET and ending on June 18, 2023 at 11:59pm ET (“Online Entry Period”). Online entrants are subject to all notices posted online including but not limited to the Station's Privacy Policy. Limit one (1) entry per eligible person during the Online Entry Period regardless if entrant has more than one email address. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Entries submitted may not be acknowledged or returned. Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by the Contest administrator. All eligible online entries will be entered into the Grand Prize random drawing.

 

To enter on-site, visit the participating ACME Markets on the dates and times listed below to obtain an official entry form (available while supplies last). All entry forms must be filled out completely and legibly and submitted as instructed by the Station. Incomplete or illegible entries may be removed in the Station’s sole discretion. Entries must be received by the scheduled end time. One (1) entry per person per Station event. Specific dates, times, and locations will be announced on-air and posted online and are subject to change. All eligible on-site entries will be entered into the Grand Prize random drawing.

There will be up to a total of fifty six (56) On-Air Bonus Prize winners and one (1) Grand Prize winner selected in the Contest.

 

 

ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

 

This Contest is open to all Station listeners who are 25 years of age or older as of the date of entry into the Contest who are legal US residents and reside in PA, NJ, or DE, except where prohibited by law. Winners must possess a valid, government-issued ID and show proof of residency to verify eligibility.

 

 

PRIZES

 

Up to fifty six (56) On-Air Bonus Prizes will be awarded. Each On-Air Bonus Prize consist of a twenty-five dollar ($25) ACME Markets gift card. Approximate Retail Value of each On-Air Bonus Prize is $25. The gift card will be subject to the terms and conditions as set forth by the issuer of the gift card. Gift cards are not refundable or transferable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time, nor will gift cards be replaced if lost or stolen.

 

Up to one (1) Grand Prize will be awarded. The Grand Prize consists of a two hundred dollar ($200) ACME Markets gift card and leased use of a beach hotel room by Grand Prize winner and up to four (4) overnight guests at the “WJBR’s Hyatt Place Dewey Beach in Dewey Beach, DE, checking in on select dates by Station for seven (7) nights. ARV of the Grand Prize is $2200.

 

Any minors staying in the hotel must be with a parent or guardian. Check-in is between 2pm and 5pm ET on awarded date; check-out is no later than 10am ET. Dates are fixed and cannot be changed or extended. Prize includes beach hotel rental only. Winners must sign rental hotel lease. Transportation, meals, and all other expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winner and guests must comply with all rules and regulations established by the Hyatt Place Dewey Beach management and will be responsible for any violation of the rules or damage to the hotel room. NO PETS are allowed in the beach hotel room. NO SMOKING is allowed in the beach hotel room.

To claim the Grand Prize, Grand Prize winner must agree to enter into a standard hotel lease allowing for use of the beach hotel room and requires the Grand Prize winner to present a valid credit card number before winner receives the keys to the hotel room. Credit card to be used if any damages or expenses are incurred. Grand Prize winner must agree to specific terms of hotel room lease and adhere to all rules and regulations pertaining to renting the hotel room. Grand Prize winner will be solely responsible for damages to or losses at the beach hotel room except normal wear and tear and unavoidable casualty. If Grand Prize winner cannot or will not enter into the hotel room lease, the Grand Prize will be forfeited and an alternate Grand Prize winner will be selected (time permitting) in a random drawing from among the remaining combined Qualifiers and eligible on-site entries received. Grand Prize winner will be solely responsible for all taxes, insurance liability and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize is awarded as is. TRANSPORTATION IS NOT PROVIDED AS PART OF THE PRIZE. WINNER AND GUEST MUST ARRANGE FOR THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE BEACH HOTEL. STATION IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CHARGES INCURRED AS PART OF THE TRAVEL TO/FROM THE BEACH HOTEL. Actual value may vary. Any difference between stated value and actual value will not be awarded. Certain restrictions may apply. Beach hotel room arrangements must be made through the Station or its designee. If the winner cannot travel on date(s) specified by the Station, the winner may be disqualified, and an alternate winner may be selected (time permitting) at the Station’s sole discretion. All other costs not specifically stated herein, including but not limited to those of, taxes, travel expenses, meals, tips and transportation, room incidentals, are the responsibility of the winner. The winner and guest(s) must sign a Publicity and Liability Waiver Release form prior to claiming the prize(s). If a prize-related event is unable to take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, including for weather, or for any reason beyond the control of the Station, their sole responsibility to the Grand Prize winner will be to award the remaining available elements of the Grand Prize and no substitution or compensation will be provided for the unawarded elements of the Grand Prize. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any prize-related event. If winner chooses to redeem the stay without any guests, s/he will be awarded the prize elements for one person only, and the remainder of the prize will be forfeited without compensation. Winner understands that there are inherent risks involved and that these risks may be present before, during and after the Grand Prize stay. In addition, winner and guest(s) should be aware of and comply with government guidelines regarding travel restrictions and mandatory quarantines before, during and after the Grand Prize stay.

All prizes or prize certificates must be claimed at the office of the Station located at 812 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809 Monday-Thursday, during regular business hours and excluding holidays. Prize or prize certificate must be claimed within thirty (30) days of winning. Failure to claim prize by the specified time will result in forfeiture of the prize. It is the winner’s sole responsibility to claim the Prize or prize certificate within the timeline provided in these Official Rules.

 

 

SELECTION OF WINNERS

 

Up to fifty six (56) On-Air Bonus Prize winners/Qualifiers will be selected on-air as described above.

 

Up to one (1) Grand Prize winner will be selected on Monday, June 19, 2023 at approximately 8:00am ET in a Station-conducted random drawing from all combined on-air Qualifiers, eligible online entries, and eligible on-site entries received. The Grand Prize winner will be contacted via phone following the drawing.

Odds of winning an On-Air Bonus Prize/being deemed an on-air Qualifier depend in part on the order and number of calls received. Odds of winning the Grand Prize depend on number of combined on-air Qualifiers, eligible online entries, and eligible on-site entries received.

 

Entrants must listen to the Station to win an On-Air Bonus Prize/be deemed an on-air Qualifier but do not need to be present. On-Air Qualifiers, online entrants, and on-site entrants need not listen to the Station or be present to win the Grand Prize.

 

Grand Prize winner must confirm acceptance of prize within 15 days of winning, or risk disqualification and selection of an alternate Grand Prize winner (time permitting) in a random drawing of all remaining combined on-air Qualifiers, eligible online entries, and eligible on-site entries received.

 

Decisions of Station management with respect to the Contest are final.

 

 

CONDITIONS

 

The Station reserves the right to end any contest or amend these rules upon announcement on air and by publication at www.wjbr.com.

For website contests: By use of the Station’s website and by entering this Contest, entrants agree to the Station’s Terms of Service Agreement and to the use of Personal Information as stated in the Privacy Policy located at www.wjbr.com.
