I am nowhere near ready to leave you guys. I love each and every one of you, and I'll forever carry the memories and bonds we’ve created together as a family. I love you. Thank you.”   Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler, who developed a romantic relationship with Eleven, also paid tribute to the show. He posted photos from the first season along with recent ones.   https://www.instagram.com/p/DDzmjP1xO3U “We just wrapped Stranger Things Season 5. I’m still in shock. We shot it for a year and I’ll miss all of my friends and our characters terribly. When I think of the show, I picture this first photo. A bunch of goofy young people making something they think is cool but really have no clue what’s to come. I feel like we’re still those people and I’m lucky to still stand beside them today. I hope you’ll love this season as much as I do. See you all next year.”   Noah Schnapp also said goodbye to the show. In his lengthy Instagram post, he expressed his appreciation for the cast and what they taught him.   https://www.instagram.com/p/DDznpEVPgxw Schnapp plays Will Byers who was trapped in the “Upside Down,” an alternated dimension in the first season. Schnapp came out last year as gay, something he said he shared with his character, per Variety.   Ross Duffer, one of the show’s creators, director, and executive producers, also expressed his gratitude.    https://www.instagram.com/p/DDzp8XTPrX7 He wrote, “We’ve been telling this story for nearly a decade now. Many of our cast members joined us when they were kids, just ten or eleven years old. It wasn’t just a show for them—it was a defining part of their childhood. They’ve grown up before our eyes, becoming more than actors—they’ve become family.”    He added, “Everyone involved was determined to bring this story to a satisfying conclusion. They poured their hearts and souls into it, and we couldn’t be more proud of what they’ve accomplished. We can’t wait to share it with you all next year. Until then—over and out.”   Netflix’s Stranger Things 5 is set for a 2025 release. Forbes predicted it would be between August and October—plenty of time to get ready to say goodbye to our favorite characters.
