Traffic affects your commute, and timing your commute in the morning takes skill and precision.

You need to time your Wawa stop, your shower, and what time is the latest you can leave!

Stacker recently compiled a list of the Delaware cities with the worst commutes.

According to Stacker “Pre-pandemic, the average commute in the U.S. was a hair over 27 minutes one way, according to Census Bureau data. It was a record high. Cumulatively, 27 minutes each way translates to 54 minutes a day, or four-and-a-half hours per week. That’s 18 hours a month and 216 hours a year spent commuting.”

  • Newark Commuting Facts

    Newark was the third worst commute in Delaware and ranked 1,656th overall in the country. The average commuter will be in the car for 20.7 minutes. Overall 4.91% of people commute over 1 hour, 19.44% commute 30 minutes to an hour, 38.36% of people commute 15 minutes to 30 minutes, and 37.29% of people commute under 15 minutes.

  • Dover Commuting Facts

    Dover has the 2nd worst commute in Delaware and 1,512the overall in the country. The average commuter travels 21.7 minutes. Overall 9.05% of people commute over 1 hour, 15.82% commute 30 minutes to an hour, 29.96% of people commute 15 minutes to 30 minutes, and 45.17% of people commute under 15 minutes.

  • Wilmington Commuting Facts

    Wilmington was the first worst commute in Delaware and ranked 1,283th overall in the country. The average commuter will be in the car for 23.4 minutes. Overall 7.93% of people commute over 1 hour, 18.23% commute 30 minutes to an hour, 39.85% of people commute 15 minutes to 30 minutes, and 33.99% of people commute under 15 minutes.
