10 Places To Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day Near Wilmington

St. Patrick’s Day observes of the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. The holiday has evolved into a celebration of Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, drinking and a whole lot of green.

Here in the United States we’ve made it one of the biggest party days of the year.  Bars and restaurants open early in the morning and get the party started with breakfast specials.  We wear green all day to avoid being pinched.   We drink green beer and lots of Guinness.  We may search for three leaf clovers and a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow and never find either.
