Still Missing A Christmas Gift? It May Be In Philadelphia

The Philadelphia USPS has been overwhelmed.
According to ABC6 the Philadelphia processing plant hired more than 280 employees going into the holiday season but have had significant volume increases due to the COVID. To compound the issue, UPS and FedEx stopped accepting packages from major retailers meaning even more volume for the Philly Post Office. During the holidays the Post Office was receiving an estimated 6 million packages more than they were capable of dealing with.
And if that wasn’t enough, employees contacting the Coronavirus and taking off work put an even greater strain on the system.
The seasonal employees that were hired to help manage the holiday rush will get to keep their jobs at least through March as they try to catch up.
No word on how long it will take them to catch up, so if you ordered some socks with a picture of your dog on them, they’re not sure when you’ll get the package.
Merry Christmas Valentines Day
