Liberty Kitchen at 1400 N. Front St. in Fishtown, Philadelphia, will host a one-day pop-up event on Oct. 25 from noon to 5 p.m., featuring a unique hoagie-themed cocktail, the Hoagie Martini. The specialty cocktail costs $13.

The Hoagie Martini is crafted with Genoa salami fat-washed Art in the Age vodka and Cinzano vermouth. It is garnished with olive oil and a skewer of Liberty Kitchen's Italian hoagie ingredients, such as cured Italian meats, balsamic dressing, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, and spicy pepper relish.

The drink features Art in the Age Vodka. This newly launched spirit is part of a family of liquors, including gin, bourbon, rye, apple whiskey, and spiced rum, now available in Pennsylvania liquor stores.

Executive Chef Beau Neidhardt told PhillyVoice that he embraced the idea of serving the unique drink alongside the deli's sandwiches.

"We don't serve alcohol, but we are BYO, which makes it even more fun because it's not every day you get to sit in our garden, crush a hoagie, and wash it down with an ice-cold martini," Neidhardt said. "I think people are going to have a good time because, honestly, who can turn down a hoagie and a martini?"

Art in the Age experimented with a sandwich-inspired beverage during the summer. The company posted on Instagram an at-home version of its cocktail recipe garnished with a small Wawa hoagie slice. Since then, the business has been looking for a sandwich shop to create the drink.

According to PhillyVoice, Art in the Age hosted a pop-up with Morris Animal Refuge. It served Weenie Martinis featuring potato vodka, tomato-infused vermouth, and pickle brine. The drink was topped with tomato, a mini gherkin, and a hot dog slice.
