Construction of Trout National – The Reserve Golf Course in Vineland is progressing. Crews have moved beyond installation of the core elements of the course to developing the remaining features and structures of the golf course in advance of a spring 2026 opening.
The private members-only golf course has been created through a partnership between MLB superstar Mike Trout and business managers John and Lorie Ruga, owners of Northeast Precast in Vineland.
According to a 42Freeway.com report, Trout and Ruga tapped Tiger Woods and his TGR Design company to design the course. Woods himself stopped by Vineland several times during the course build.
The design and development team took a phased approach to the course's development, installing the major elements at the beginning of the process to allow the grass, trees, and vegetation to have a full year to grow into the environment.
Crews are now focused on work involving the many structures and other golf-related features of the full course facility, which will include six private lodges on the property for overnight guests.
Trout National – The Reserve will occupy 280 acres in Vineland. Its main entrance will be on Mays Landing Road, close to the Old Vineland Tavern.
The course extends to the opposite side of Hance Bridge Road. This extension required the course's development team to create a golf cart tunnel that would run underneath the existing roadway so that golfers can travel from place to place on the course without disrupting motor vehicle traffic.
The 42Freeway.com report also noted that the entirety of the 280-acre course will be surrounded by a high concrete wall, providing a buffer between the course and the area around it.
Additional amenities at Trout National – The Reserve will include a 35,000-square-foot clubhouse building with a pro shop, garage, and restaurant and bar.
A maintenance facility, front entrance gatehouse, and a golf training center will also be available to members.
