Will a Delco Restaurant Be Featured in New Gordon Ramsay Series?

In March, sources such as Philadelphia Magazine reported sightings of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay at Wilson's Secret Sauce in Delco. All the signs of a Ramsay-led television production were there: The business was closed for a week, production crews scurried about, and even the owner of the establishment was tight-lipped about what was happening.

When Wilson's Secret Sauce reopened, it had all the hallmarks of Ramsay's “Kitchen Nightmares" touch: a refreshed look and significantly scaled-down menu.

Building off "Kitchen Nightmares," Ramsay is hard at work on a new series, “Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service.” A press release from the show obtained by Philadelphia Magazine notes, “Culinary titan Gordon Ramsay goes undercover to rescue America's filthiest restaurants in FOX's all-new unscripted series 'Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service.'”

“With the help of a secret source on the inside, he'll gather raw, unfiltered evidence and get a 360-degree view of the major issues facing each restaurant. This insider will not only remain a secret to the staff, but will also help Ramsay infiltrate the restaurant after-hours for a dramatic nighttime black light kitchen investigation that reveals more filth and grossness than ever before. By the time Ramsay reveals his identity, it will be too late for staff to cover up their culinary crimes,” the release noted.

It's difficult to know exactly how Wilson's Secret Sauce was involved in “Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service” since non-disclosure agreements prevent anyone from talking about any aspect of the production. 

The new series premieres on FOX on May 21.
