Halsey revealed she was hospitalized after experiencing a seizure. On September 25, the singer shared this while responding to fan questions on X, formerly known as Twitter.

When a fan asked for an update on her health, Halsey responded. “I’m home from the hospital now after a few days, so a win is a win!” Halsey wrote. Another person inquired, “Was it related to chronic health issues or something new/acute? I hope you're feeling better!” She replied, “I had a seizure! Very scary! Don’t recommend it!”

Later, Halsey posted a video from her hospital bed on Instagram, where she had an IV and was joined by her fiancé Avan Jogia. “Happy late Bi Visibility Day,” she captioned the post, adding humor, “This year I’m celebrating by dying with a man by my side (for legal reasons that’s a joke).”

In the video, the couple wished followers a Happy Bi Visibility Day, with Halsey jokingly adding, “We had a whole plan for you guys,” while laughing and flashing a peace sign. Jogia commented, “Lol I’m so glad you posted this.”

Back in June, Halsey revealed her diagnosis of Lupus SLE and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder in 2022.

“Both of which are currently being managed or in remission; and both of which I will likely have for the duration of my life,” she shared on Instagram.

Lupus is an autoimmune disease where the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues instead of harmful bacteria and viruses. This causes inflammation, potentially affecting joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, the brain, heart, and lungs. There is no cure for the condition.

Lymphoproliferative disorders involve the uncontrolled production of white blood cells called lymphocytes. T-cell disorders include leukemia and lymphoma.

Halsey mentioned that despite a “rocky start,” she has managed to get her health under control with her doctors' help.

“After 2 years, I’m feeling better, and I’m more grateful than ever to have music to turn to,” she concluded. “I can’t wait to get back where I belong: With you all [white heart emoji], singing and screaming my heart out.”

In 2021, Halsey and former boyfriend Alev Aydin welcomed their first child, Ender Ridley Aydin. "Gratitude. For the most 'rare' and euphoric birth. Powered by love," the singer wrote on Instagram, sharing black-and-white photos from Ender's birth.
