Delaware Has One of the Best Beer Festivals in America
The U.S. has a lot of fantastic beer festivals, and some of them are right here in Delaware. If you’re planning to hit the beer festival circuit this year, there’s one Delaware beer festival that has been ranked one of the best in the U.S. So, get this one on your itinerary. Summer is on the way, and that means we’re about to hit the sweet spot of the season.
Top Beer Festivals in the U.S.
The news is from USA Today’s 10Best readers’ poll, which recently asked readers to vote for their favorite beer festivals. Participants were asked to vote on a range of beer festivals throughout America, and the final list includes 10 awesome events. The initial list of beer festivals was put together from a panel of beer experts, who nominated their top picks. But, the poll itself was based purely on readers’ votes, so it’s all about the people. “Beer festivals not only offer attendees the chance to sample numerous brews (sometimes even rare and one-off pours),” USA Today states, “but also allow beer fans to get to know their favorite brewmasters, sample paired foods, and learn all about beer and brewing.”
The No. 1 best beer festival in America, according to the poll, is Barrel & Flow Fest in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The festival features around 3,000 craft beer industry professionals and enthusiasts, so it’s a massive even in Pennsylvania. The event also celebrates Black-owned breweries. So, what about Delaware? We made the list at No. 8 with the Historic New Castle Belgian Beer Festival in New Castle. It’s a new festival that kicked off in 2022 and “showcases both the charms of Delaware’s historic New Castle as well as newly imported Belgian beers,” according to the publication. The event also offers 30 different Belgian beers being served for the first time ever in Delaware. The event takes place in Battery Park, along on the banks of the Delaware River.
