This Is The #1 Food Combo Delawareans Love The Most
There are plenty of unique food combos out there. One that we see a lot of here in Delaware is malt vinegar with our fries, Thrashers fries…yum! But, the food combo might not be for everyone.
One of my favorite food combos is dipping plain potato chips into ketchup, which isn’t all that weird if you think about it. Potato chips are a similar version to the crunchy fries we end up with in most fast food orders. Another I used to eat as a kid was a grilled cheese with Cheetos, again not too weird in my opinion with the same flavor profile. I just liked the added crunch.
Unique Food Combos
Across the country there is the timeless debate about whether pineapple belongs on pizza. I am of the belief that it does not. My husband does not agree. Then there’s the topic of fries in a milkshake, which isn’t all that bad. The mix of sweet and salty really works for some reason. With this in mind, the crew over at Chicco USA went on a search for the #1 unique food combo in each state across the US.
In order to do this, they conducted a survey with just over 2,000 people across 44 states, to find out which food combos are preferred most. They surveyed a wide range of Americans from all age brackets, asking which combos they liked, and disliked the most.
Delaware’s #1 Unique Food Combo
In the state of Delaware our unique food combo of choice is Chicken and Waffles. This isn’t necessarily that weird, but it’s a food combo more often found in the south. No doubt, it is delicious either way. And with Delaware’s chicken operation, it does make more sense.
Other food combos making the top choices across the US are watermelon and salt, eggs with ketchup, of course, pineapple with pizza, French fries and milkshakes and chocolate with popcorn.
