The Top 10 Toppings We Like On Our Pizza In Delaware
In October, we are not only celebrating the start of the spooky season, we are celebrating one of the most popular foods in the country…pizza!
October is National Pizza Month, according to PizzaToday.com. Pizza Today’s founder Gerry Durnell created the National Pizza Month observance in 1984 to mark the debut of the first issue of Pizza Today magazine. In 1987, U.S. Congress officially designated the month of October as National Pizza Month. Thanks!
With this is mind, let’s take a look at what the folks in Delaware think about pizza.
I recently came across a fun study conducted by Casinos.com They went on a search to find out which toppings were most popular amongst residents of each state. To do this, they used the monthly Google trends for 15 of the most popular pizza toppings in America on a state-by-state basis, to reveal the most popular in each state, including Delaware.
The most popular topping nationwide shouldn’t come as a surprise. You guessed it…pepperoni, followed by bacon, sausage, peppers and mushrooms.

Do you agree? I’ve got to be honest, I am happy to see that we don’t like Pineapples on our pizza. I am of the belief they just don’t belong but I know that’s not always a popular opinion.
