How I Spent My Saturday At Beer Bourbon & BBQ Festival In Wilmington
Last weekend was a great way to spend a little more time outside and soak up the last bits of summer. I was honored to attend and host an amazing event. It was the Beer Bourbon & BBQ Festival in Wilmington, Delaware.
The event was Saturday August 19th on the Riverfront in Wilmington.
If you weren’t there, you missed a ton of fun! But I’m not here to make you feel bad. I’m here to urge you to attend next year! There was a great selection of pulled pork from whole hogs, ribs, brisket, chickens, sausages and all the fixins’ you can imagine.
With over 100 combined beers and bourbons to sample, we did not go thirsty!
The live entertainment was on point. Two great bands out of Baltimore, MD performed that day and brought to totally different feels. Under the Covers ended the day with fun, upbeat versions of almost every hit from every genre of music. They went from Harry Styles Watermelon Sugar to Blink 182 What’s My Age Again?.
Mallow Hill kicked the day off with the sultry sounds of hard rockin’ female vocals covering all types of rock including the Allman Brothers and Led Zeppelin.
We had our fill of delicious smoked meats and great local brews.
I had the pleasure of hopping up on stage and introducing the 2nd band with none other than Matt Cord from our sister station, Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK.
It was a great day full of fun, sun and great food and drinks. What more could you ask for?
Make sure you mark your calendar for next year’s Beer Bourbon and BBQ Festival!
