Jordan brand's latest athlete is the one and only Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Even though Hurts says he has yet to meet Michael Jordan in person, he has been in contact with the basketball legend, and he says he's a major influence. Yes, a Jalen Hurts, Michael Jordan friendship is brewing.

"It's an honor to be a part of that family and be able to rep that," the Eagles quarterback told CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones during training camp regarding his brand deal with "His Airness." Hurts added, "Have not met Mike, but I've been in touch with him. He's a great person, a great mentor...Very helpful."

During last season, Hurts showed off some Jordan pride by wearing Jordan branded cleats. Of course, he garnered at lot of attention for the brand, because he took the team all the way to the Super Bowl. Also, after coming back from a sprained shoulder late in the season, he showed up to the stadium sporting a T-shirt with the image of Jordan and the words from the press release announcing he was back from retirement in 1995, stating, "I'm back." How dramatic is that?

Rumors of Hurts' Jordan deal were floating for quite a while, but the partnership was as officially announced last week. The brand announced the partnership on their Instagram account, stating, "Before anyone ever had an opinion, @jalenhurts had a purpose. Welcome to the Family. 🎤 La Flame."
