This Is The Worst School District In Delaware, According To USA Today

Across the country the new school year is approaching quickly.  Here in Wilmington, classes start in a couple of weeks.

It doesn't matter where you are in Delaware, whether you're in Wilmington, Seaford or Dewey, we all want our kids to receive the best education possible.

if you're new to the area or have young kids that aren't quite of school age, you may be wondering what parts of the state offer the best options in education.  You'll also probably want to know which options are not the best, like the worst school district In Delaware.

According to USA Today, “A good school district can greatly increase a child’s chances of future success.” With that being said, Word Population Review  created a list of the worst school districts in each state. They got their data from USA Today.

Luckily, Delaware doesn't rank on the list of top 10 worst states for education in the country, based on this study.  Those states are Alabama, Mississippi, Oregon, Oklahoma, South Carolina, West Virginia, Arizona, Louisiana, Alaska, and New Mexico.   Not one northeastern state is named, so that's a positive.

USA Today used data from the U.S. Census Bureau, National Center for education statistics and 24/7 Wall St.

Using these three sources, five measurements were considered.  The following rankings were used to ultimately determine the school districts in each state, in which a child is may be less likely to succeed.

So, what does this mean for Delaware?  According to the research mentioned above, the school district in Delaware being deemed as worst, is Woodbridge School District.
