Ryan Reynolds Brings ALF Reboot To His Maximum Effort Channel
If you were an 80s kid, you are familiar with the popular TV series ALF. ALF aired on NBC from 1986 to 1990 and now, the Alien Life Form is coming back thanks to Ryan Reynolds.
ALF Reboot
Ryan Reynolds has had his hand in a lot of different pots lately. From soccer teams to a tv series like ALF, Reynolds is bringing the beloved 80s icon back to life.
ALF was an alien from the planet Melmac who follows an amateur radio signal to Earth and crash-lands into the garage of the Tanners, a suburban middle-class family who live in the San Fernando Valley area of California.
With a series of sponsored content shorts, Alf, the furry brown alien was seen in a trailer montage posted Monday.
USA Today reports that in the video, Alf can be seen discussing and using various products with their human friend Eric. Sponsors involved include mobile network operator Mint Mobile, doorbell camera brand Ring and television streamer Fubo.

The video was posted to Reynolds’ Maximum Effort Channel. The Maximum Effort Channel launched in June as part of a deal with Fubo.
The channel is also available to stream on platforms such as Amazon Freevee and Tubi.
Reynolds said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter and Entertainment Weekly “Besides my irrational love of Alf growing up, one of the reasons we licensed this show was precisely because (‘Alf’ co-creator) Paul (Fusco), Shout! Studios and our intrepid brand partners wanted to plot with us to bring Alf back to life.”
Needless to say, if you’re an 80s kid you might be just as excited as Ryan Reynolds that ALF is back.
Chris Kirkpatrick From NSYNC Joins Local Musician On Stage In Dewey Beach
Just imagine you’re down at the beach for the weekend having a few drinks at Nalu Dewey and all of a sudden Chris Kirkpatrick is on stage. That’s right, you’re dancing and the next minute one of the members of NSYNC joins a local musician on stage.
Live Music In Dewey Beach
Joe Bachman , a long time local musician and recording artist out of Rehoboth Beach, was performing at Nalu with his duo Bachman Polk. Bachman Polk markets themselves as the “most fun, Miller Lite-fueled, high-energy, interactive sh*t-show of a music duo in the USA.”
They play fun TV themes, mix a little adult humor and both cover and original music into a fun-filled show.
Apparently, they are also close friends with Chris Kirkpatrick from NSYNC, the popular 90s boyband sensation.
Early Tuesday Morning, Bachman took to his facebook page to write: “I met Chris Kirkpatrick a little more than 8 years ago. Like so many of my friends, I grew up a fan of NSYNC. In a short time, we became close friends. Last night, I asked him to join Zac & I and “sing a few songs.” He came out and sang from 9:15 to 10:25. Nalu Dewey was electric…such an awesome vibe in the room all night!”

As a musician myself, I know the feeling of being on stage when the room is really enjoying what you’re providing for them. Imagine mixing that with an artist you grew up listening to who is now your close and personal friend! What an amazing night it must have been to have Chris Kirkpatrick from NSYNC crash his gig!
This isn’t the first time we’ve had celebrity sightings at Delaware beaches. Who have you seen in and around Dewey?
