We all know too well that the beaches in Delaware are special.  People down south take beaches for granted with the option to visit year round.

There’s something special and exciting about having to wait for the winter months to pass by before enjoying a warm day on the sand.

The crew over at USA Today put together a list of the 10 best beaches in the Northeast for summer.  With the help of their readers choice poll, two beaches in Delaware were included on the 10best list.  How cool?

Coming in at number 9 on the list is Rehoboth Beach. The list mentions Rehoboth as a getaway of choice for many in Washington, D.C. featuring a beautiful, wide sandy beach that stretches for miles with plenty of space for swimming, sunbathing and water sports.

At number 3, is Bethany Beach.  The article mentions Bethany as being a great family-friendly beach.  It’s quiet, ideal for swimming and safe for small kids with the presence of beach patrol and a large, shallow area.
