Free Culinary School In Delaware Through The Food Bank
Have you ever dreamed of being a chef or working in a kitchen? Are you obsessively watching the Netflix series Tbe Bear and calling everyone around you “chef”? You can enroll in the FREE culinary school in Delaware that is being offered through the Food Bank!
Culinary School
The Culinary School is a 14-week training program, certified by the Delaware Department of Education, that prepares students for careers in the food service industry.
While there, you will learn from Executive Chef Tim Hunter and Chef Instructors Tish Badamshin, Ron Roll and Chris Montgomery.
These industry professionals will train you in the kitchen of the Food Bank of Delaware in Newark and Milford.
In the kitchen you will learn basic and high-end kitchen skills while having the opportunity to become ServSafe® certified. Lastly, you will receive a paid two-week work experience, job placement services, uniforms, textbook and knife.
Most culinary schools take years. This program will allow you the ability to train and start looking for jobs in 3 months.

Student tuition and supplies are paid through generous scholarships and grants.
Can’t get there? No problem! Free transportation is available to and from class. Gas cards are available for student drivers.
