The Downtown Newark Food & Brew Fest
Saturday, July 29th, 2023 in Downtown Newark.
More than 45 featured craft beers on hand, to be paired with delicious dishes from the participating Newark restaurants. This fest is different from most. Guests will travel from restaurant to restaurant to taste the beers and paired dishes. That’s pretty cool! Who doesn’t love a good bar crawl? Even better with food involved.
All you need is your ID, to prove you’re 21, and you pay as you go, no event tickets are required.
Things will get started around 12pm and will go through 7pm. If you’re one of the first 1500 people, you’ll get a commemorative 5 oz. tasting mug as a souvenir.
In between restaurants, don’t miss the Hops & Shops Sidewalk Sale with booths from local Delaware vendors, like Grassroots, Little Goat Coffee Roasting Co. and Newark Natural Foods.

The folks over at Movoto put together a list of the best places to live in Delaware right now.
How Did They Do It?
Research on the topic was based on factual information surrounding things like education, income, and weather. Each of these locations in Delaware have over 5,000 residents and were judged on the following criteria:
- Total amenities
- Quality of life (cost of living, median home price, median rent, median household income, and student-to-teacher ratio)
- Total crimes
- Tax rates (sales tax and income tax)
- Unemployment
- Commute time
- Weather (temperature and air quality)
