If you’re a fan of Guy Fieri and his ever so popular show, ‘Diners, Drive Ins & Dives’, on The Food Network, then you might want to take a trip into Philly to give this place a try.

Triple D has featured thousands of restaurants across the country since it’s television debut in 2007. To make the list of the most outrageous dishes featured on the show, you’ve got to be cooking up something pretty dang special in that kitchen of yours. After all these years, I can imagine it might be getting harder and harder to impress.

So, where is this place that we keep pumping up in the City of Brotherly Love? None other than Standard Tap, and the grilled octopus with oregano salad is one of the most outrageous dishes to be featured on the show.

Standard Tap opened it’s doors in Philadelphia back in 1999. Over 20 years later, they’ve received tons of national recognition, included being named one of the best bars in Philadelphia by Trip Savvy and Thrillst.

According to the restaurant website, their goal is simple: to create a neighborhood tavern that features great beer and wholesome food. With that in mind, they offer a draft-only beer selection, crafted only by local breweries in Pennsylvania, New Jersey & Delaware.
